PHOTOGRAPHY INTERN. Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, Memphis, TN




Photography Intern

Summary: 
Intern will assist the Marketing Department to fulfill the photography needs of the museum. Projects include shooting, editing, and archiving photographs of museum events, public programs, facilities, and exhibitions. Special projects include assisting with photography needs for a new museum website.  
Skills/Qualifications:
Candidates should have experience shooting quality photographs in a variety of settings, proficiency in using the Adobe Photoshop CC and Lightroom, and embedding metadata. Candidates must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a photography program. Candidates must have a camera, camera accessories, and a laptop with Adobe Photoshop CC and Lightroom. 
Time Commitment: 
At least 8-15 hours per week, weekdays and weekends need be available; schedule is flexible and based on museum events.
Application Materials:  
Application materials include a resume and portfolio of sample work (either PDF portfolio or website). A letter of recommendation is optional. If applicable, include your school’s requirements for credit with your application. While this internship is unpaid, the individual will get a number of completed pieces to add to their portfolio. Interns’ schedules are determined based upon the number of hours required for college credits, the Museum's needs, and the individual's own schedule.
