Photographers needed: www.thesavannahfoodguide.com.

Regarding needs for talented photographers and videographers who are interested in an exciting opportunity to "get in early" producing content for a new digital publication coming to Savannah, The Savannah Food Guide, www.thesavannahfoodguide.com.

The publication's slated to be a valuable resource for travelers and locals alike who want to stay "in the know" on what's new and/or interesting in the food and drink scene in and around Savannah. The aesthetic will be editorial and cosmopolitan whereby it will have a commanding yet approachable look and feel.
Subject matter of the content I'm seeking assistance with will be: food, people (portraits) and interiors and exteriors of stores and/or restaurants.
I'm sending along a photo grid file (attached). The photos reflect the style and quality of: coloring, resolution and lighting that are consistent with that which I'm seeking for publishing in The Savannah Food Guide's website and social media.
I'm seeking 2-3 photographers and videographers who are looking to build up their portfolios, excited to make new connections with area business owners and eat free food/drinks and enjoy other products covered on shoots for free!

Best,
Catherine Howe

How, Why, When to get commercial representation

In memoriam: SCAD Photography Professor Jenny Kuhla

In memoriam: SCAD Photography Professor Jenny Kuhla

The SCAD community is deeply saddened by the passing of SCAD photography professor Jenny Kuhla. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jenny's family, friends, colleagues, and students during this difficult time.A SCAD professor for more than 25 years, Jenny taught and mentored thousands of SCAD photography students as they worked toward their creative careers. Jenny’s longtime colleague and fellow photography professor Lynn Wright remembered Jenny as a brilliant mind. “Jenny was the kindest, most intelligent educator I have ever met,” she said. “She was my colleague and one of my best friends. Compassionate beyond the ordinary, she was invested in her students, and she never once treated them as anything but equal. Everyone had potential in her eyes, and she felt it her job to probe that potential and tease it out into the open.” Jenny also served her students as a longtime faculty adviser and the photography department's chair from 2007 to 2010. She was a favorite of her students and a close colleague to all, SCAD photography professor emeritus Steve Bliss shared. “Jenny was blessed with an innate ability to break down the most complex of academic concepts and to make them understandable for her students,” he said. “Her lectures were riveting, leavened with her ability to be funny, insightful, and educational all at the same time. Her students loved and respected her, and she was beloved and appreciated by her chairs, deans, and fellow faculty.” Jenny's memorial arrangements will be announced at a later date. Students and colleagues who would like to speak with a grief counselor are encouraged to contact the university’s counseling and student support services at 912.525.6971.
