John and Sherry are exhibiting their thesis projects. As an MFA student in sound design, John’s research is examining the history of new instrument development. John has created an instrument that will create new sounds that are free from the associations that their source harbors in order to challenge the listener and allow for more freedom in music composition.
Sherry is receiving her MFA in graphic design, and she is exploring ambiguity and indeterminacy in graphic design. Her work includes photographs, video and an interactive installation that portrays a continuum of ambiguity.
