MFA Teaching Job

The Department of Fine Arts at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in photography and digital design beginning August 2011. Responsibilities include teaching both digital and darkroom photography, and basic computer graphics courses in the graphic design program. The successful candidate will have opportunities to teach graduate courses in support of the university’s Master of Liberal Arts program, and to help develop an undergraduate degree emphasis in photography.
 
M.F.A. required. Teaching experience preferred. Applicants must demonstrate potential for quality teaching and an ongoing program of creative activity.
 
Representatives from the Department will conduct screening interviews at the SECAC Convention in Richmond on Saturday, October 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Monticello Boardroom at the Jefferson Hotel.
