Job opportunity: Photo Producer, Shutterfly, Inc

Shutterfly, Inc. is looking for a detail oriented, highly organized Photo Producer to join a growing team.  The role is responsible, and accountable, for the successful execution of internal and external photo shoots.  You possess the ability to think and act quickly and maintain supreme control during the sometimes hectic environment of a photo shoot.  You will have prior experience of producing still photography shoots, including location scouting, model castings, fee negotiations, budgeting and vendor relations.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure seamless production of photo shoots, both on location and in studio.
  • Participate in sourcing and negotiation with outside resources such as photographers, stylists, merchandise coordinators, hair/MU artists and models.
  • Create estimates and track expenses; responsible for keeping shoot/crew on track with expense to meet budget requirements.
  • Work closely with others in the marketing department to schedule and plan production needs.
  • Schedule and facilitate pre and post production meetings.
  • Record action items in pre-production meetings, research and follow up with appropriate business partners in a timely manner.
  • Pro actively suggest workflow improvements to maximize efficiencies.
  • Work with cross-functional business partners to ensure efficient product sample workflows.
  • Communicate detailed photo schedules in a timely manner to participants and business partners.
  • Standardize processes to optimize productivity and meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Create estimates, forecast costs and track quarterly budgets.
  • Consult with internal clients in various departments to ensure clear direction and expectation for deliverables.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of currency with photo/video technology, equipment, industry trends, and competitive marketplace.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in a photo production environment
  • Ability to organize time and meet deadlines, manage workflow and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, and familiarity and comfort with database applications.
  • Proficiency with Adobe CS applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
