Hometown Hero Program

BECOME A HOMETOWN HERO THIS YEAR!

Hometown Heroes is an event tailored for current SCAD Students to visit their former high schools and colleges over breaks to share their love of SCAD with their former teachers and prospective students. They visit with the goal of getting students excited about SCAD by sharing their personal experiences and showing examples of their work. These show-and-tell visits are not only an effective way to advocate for the arts and recruit new students, but also provide a rewarding experience for current students. The visits allow them opportunities to practice public speaking and professional skills! Participants will also recieve an exclusive SCAD gift at the Thank You event following the campaign!

The Hometown Hero program is open to current students of all levels, including graduate students, who are interested in sharing their SCAD experiences with their communities. Hometown Heroes will be provided SCAD information packets and educator materials for their visit. Hometown Heroes are not asked to represent SCAD Admission, or answer admission-related questions.
