Teaching Position for MFAs

Photography/Gallery Manager Position, to begin August 2011  

The Department of Art and Art History at the University of North Carolina Wilmington is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor to teach photography (both traditional and digital) and manage the art gallery, which is the primary public face of the department. MFA required with teaching experience at the university level and art gallery installation/management experience.  Duties include teaching undergraduate-level courses, advising students, participating in department and university service; professional research and creative activity required. Art gallery management duties will include scheduling, publicizing, and installing student and guest artist exhibition season, including December and May Senior Exhibits; cultivating university/community relations. Ability to teach museum studies or history of photography a plus.
