Jeffrey Dean Lighting Workshops this Weekend at Meddin

New York City Photographer and Photo Assistant Jeffrey Dean is coming to Savannah. He will hold two lighting workshops for SCAD Photography students at Meddin Studios this Saturday from 1 to 6 and Sunday from 1 to 6. Meddin is located at 2315 Louisville Road in Savannah. (For more information on Meddin, go to their website http://www.meddinstudios.com/) All students are invited.

BIO:Hailing from Los Angeles, Jeffrey had the advantage of proximity early in his career, positioning him to take full advantage of the myriad photographic opportunities in celebrity photography and the fashion and beauty industries. He has had the unique opportunity of working with many of the world’s top photographers, including Patrick Demarchelier, David Lachapelle, Annie Liebovitz, Steven Meisel, Sante D’Orazio, and many others. He has worked regularly with Playboy and Penthouse, and was a regular on the sets of large-scale advertising and editorial shoots for publications such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Harper’s Bazaar.

As recognition and appreciation for his work grew, Jeffrey began to explore more ways to enhance his abilities. He quickly mastered the art of studio lighting and location lighting, which is evident in his photography. Woven throughout many of his projects, Jeffrey masterfully works with a variety of analog and digital formats, along with a multitude of strobe and continuous lighting systems. His keen sense of lighting technique enables him to celebrate the diversity of his individual subjects to ensure that their optimal beauty is captured. He believes that his expertise in lighting sets his work apart, and transforms a mere photograph into a work of art.
