Alter-Ego II: Images Made with Toy Cameras or Alternative Photographic Processes April 28-May 19, 2012 The Nave Gallery Curated by Greer Muldowney SUBMISSION DEADLINE: April 1, 2012 Film is dead, right? Not so fast. The proliferation of toy cameras, pinhole camera kits, and how-to-manuals for alternative processes suggests otherwise. The exhibition Alter-Ego Part II will celebrate the quirky, personal, non-digital point of view of artists bucking the trend in the world of 21st century photography. All themes will be considered. This is a follow up to the 2009 exhibit Alter-Ego curated by Bridget Kane and Greer Muldowney. Applicants must submit:
• Up to five (5) jpeg files on a CD-Rom (300 dpi) • An image list including title, dimension, date, camera, film and process for each work submitted.
Please label each file (artistname)(title).jpeg A short statement describing the work • Telephone and e-mail contact information • A current artist's CV • $15 entry fee payable to The Nave Gallery (NOT refundable) • Self-addressed stamped envelope with adequate postage for return of materials
