Beauty publishing company located in Van Nuys is looking for a full time photo editor/photographer.

Job includes:
Color correct, retouch, rename, and archive all images in a deadline driven environment.
Responsible for organization and maintenance of all company photos.
Archive all company trade show images and cover shoots with automated contact sheets for every shoot.
Work with professional digital cameras to photograph product imagery in-house as well as on location.
Work closely with art directors/magazine editors to coordinate the most effective way to obtain images needed for articles.
Responsible for the editing and correcting of photo submissions for the quarterly hair book, containing more than 600 images.
Research stock/syndication agencies for quality images to present to art directors/editors.
Contact company PR departments to request specific product imagery and/or products to be shot in-house.
Contribute innovative ideas for future covers/story opener images in monthly art meetings.

Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Word, Excel. Canon digital camera's and studio lighting.

Will be working with both art department and editorial department. Needs to work well with people under stressful deadlines.
