Jacksonville Fine Arts Festival Grants

The AMA, Avondale Merchant Association, has offered SCAD fine artists up to ten grants for individual students and recent SCAD alumni and faculty to participate in the Jacksonville Fine Art Festival . Each grant is valued at $175, and comprises the application fee and the space fee.


~ The two-day outdoor event is Sat & Sun, April 9 & 10, 10-4

~ up to ten grants for SCAD students, recent alumni, and faculty, valued at $1750, are available.


........waived application fee ($25 x 10=$250)

........waived space rental ($150 x 10 = $1500)


~ if needed, artists can rent a 10x10' tent and an 8x10' wall for $50 and $70, respectively (arrangements may be made to have volunteers set these up and take them down). Artists may also choose to bring their own tent, walls, or other means of display.

~ a Best of Show and additional monetary awards in each media area will be made; the jurors are the Museum Director of MOCA, the museum director of the Cummer Museum, and an influential patron of the arts.

~ no commission is taken;

~ exhibited works must be for sale; for patrons who prefer to use credit cards, a sponsor has offered use of his gallery's credit card machines at cost.

~ expected attendance is more than 10,000
