Publication Opportunity

LA ISLA magazine is inviting submissions of photography work related to the topic “Poverty and Latinos in Savannah” to be viewed at an Editorial meeting on Monday, March 1, 2010. The photography work will be considered for publication on the cover and in a 4-page feature in the magazine. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer compensation for the use of these images, but I am hoping some of your students might be interested in having their work published in a feature, and most likely, the COVER of our April issue.

All submissions must be emailed in advance by February 28th, 2010. Submissions may include up to 6 screen resolution jpegs - approx 300k max per image - and a two paragraph description of the work.

Once the submissions are reviewed the editors will contact the photographers they wish to publish and discuss their work further.

LA ISLA embraces variety and recommends that before material is submitted photographers familiarize themselves with the magazine and website www.laislamagazine.com.

Please email submissions to Jennifer Lee at art@laislamagazine.com by 18th February2010.
