DesotOrow’s Mission: DesotOrow is an art gallery that provides affordable exhibition space for emerging artists and fosters awareness and appreciation of the arts through educational outreach programming open to artists and the community.

Currently, DesotOrow is operating as a student-run gallery space and is working toward becoming a community-based, nonprofit art gallery. By providing an affordable exhibition space for student and emerging artists, DesotOrow is bringing contemporary and innovative ideas to the cultural sector of Savannah. Additionally, DesotOrow’s success will aid in the revitalization of the Starland District, a neighborhood on the rise.

We will offer the public more than just exhibitions. We will initiate educational outreach programs for the community, including (but not limited to) artist talks, open forums for critique, youth art exhibits, and Saturday youth art classes.

However, in order for our dreams to become reality we need nonprofit status to gain much-needed funding. Therefore we are holding an art auction in which the sale of auctioned items will directly fund our application for nonprofit status. We aim to raise $1,000 to cover the costs of incorporating and filing as a nonprofit business.
