SCAD SPE Student Scholarship Opportunity
2014 Chicago 51th   Anniversary
The Society for Photographic Education will host their annual national conference in Baltimore, Maryland, March 6-9, 2014. One $500 scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate and one $500 will be awarded to a graduate student to support student travel to this WONDERFUL event. Featured Speakers: Catherine Lord, Joan Fontcuberta, Nicholas Kahn & Richard Selesnick, Taryn Simon Honored Educator: Susan kae Grant

ENTRY GUIDELINES
Eligibility limited to current, full-time undergraduate and graduate SCAD photography majors.

Award of $500 must be used for SPE Conference travel, conference fees, hotel etc… for the 2014 National SPE Conference.

Deadline Monday, February 3, 2013, 12 pm- NOON EST
• Note: Conference Registration Fees increase February 14.

Submission
Submissions must be emailed to Larry Murphy, lmurphy@sacd.edu by the deadline listed above. The subject of the email must state SCAD Undergraduate or SCAD Graduate

Submissions should include the following:
·      • The email should include the following information: Full name, student number, year in school, local address, phone number, SCAD student email address.
·      Please submit a cohesive portfolio of 10-20 images following the image guidelines.
·      An image identification page as a word document or PDF. The image identification should correspond with the image numbers and include the following information: student name, image title or untitled, medium (materials), size, date made.
·      OPTIONAL: Short statement of how the conference will benefit your career (half a page or less), resume.

Image Guidelines: All images JPG format, size 72ppi, longest dimension 1024 pixels. Please title each image with number corresponding to identification page, underscore, last name, underscore, title. (example: 01_Lastname_title.jpg)
