Stock Giant Close to Profit This Year
This story from Reuters - Corbis, a stock giant, owned by Microsoft's Bill Gates, reports that it will finally make a profit this year.
Not a part of the article, but related: Corbis set a unique example over a decade ago by buying digital reproduction rights to historic images, believing that those were the only ones that mattered. A decade ago, Corbis purchased the Bettman Archive, a storehouse of historic images from the last century, and stored all the prints and negatives underground for storage. Therefore, you can buy back your history if Corbis finds it profitable enough to digitize.
