Formerly the chief technology officer at Microsoft, Myhrvold combines his passion for science, cooking, and photography as the founder of Modernist Cuisine, a talented team dedicated to understanding and advancing contemporary cuisine through science, innovation, and creativity, as well as a state-of-the-art research kitchen and laboratory. Myhrvold is the lead author of the books Modernist Cuisine: The Art and Science of CookingModernist Cuisine at HomeThe Photography of Modernist CuisineModernist Bread, and the forthcoming Modernist Pizza.
