Call for entry: Female power through the perspective of photography

Your images can be made by any camera or process. Not limited to Leica Cameras

Ends on

To mark the 45th anniversary of SCAD, SCAD students are invited to submit work to an open call for an exhibition that explores expressions of female power through the perspective of photography. In partnership with renowned photograph company Leica, SCAD seeks work for the upcoming exhibition POWER IN PERSPECTIVE, which will be on display at Gutstein Gallery from February 23 to April 29, 2024.

Create a photograph that conveys the ways in which women harness strength, resilience, and experience to challenge societal norms, break barriers, create change or exist freely. Use photography to capture ideas, scenes, or stories of empowerment, whether through portraits, candid moments, or symbolic imagery. Share your insights into how the power of women helps shape communities and the world at large. Many interpretations of the theme are encouraged.

This exhibition will include 45 images selected by a panel of photographers, Leica experts, and SCAD faculty. The theme ties into the focus of the international 2024 Leica Women Foto Project, and the works will be exhibited beginning in February 2024, running through International Women’s Day in March 2024 and SCAD Style.
