36th printed issue of AAP Magazine will feature the best projects showcasing the theme 'Street Photography'.

https://www.all-about-photo.com/all-about-photo-contest.php?cid=78

Final Deadline is November 14, 2023
Our 36th printed issue of AAP Magazine will feature the best projects showcasing the theme 'Street Photography'.
Encyclopedia Britannica defines Street photography has "a genre that records everyday life in a public place."

Photographers have been documenting their environment since the invention of photography. The image "View of the Boulevard du Temple" by Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre, shows a Parisian street in 1838. Later encouraged by improvements in the portability and quality of cameras many photographers decided to record urban life. Charles Nègre, Eugene Atget, Alfred Stieglitz, Andre Kertesz, Berenice Abbott, Henri Cartier Bresson, Brassaï, Walker Evans, Robert Frank, Diane Arbus, Vivian Maier, Garry Winogrand, Lee Friedlander, William Eggleston... are amongst the many iconic photographers who captured changes in the fast-paced world of life in towns and cities.

Capturing the essence of the urban lifestyle is now both a popular form of art and an important medium of communicating the heart and soul of a society and its people.

Send us a cohesive body of work or portfolio - capturing the weird and wonderful moments unfolding around you! The subject is completely up to you. Any capture method or process, whether digital or analog, including monochromatic toning, is welcome.

Winners will receive $1,000 in cash awards, their winning image(s) or full portfolio published in AAP Magazine #36, extensive press coverage and global recognition.

All winners will have their work published in the 36th printed issue of AAP Magazine, a free copy of the magazine and their portfolio showcased in the Winners Gallery of www.all-about-photo.com.

These courses let you innovate across industries, envisioning how people will move, learn, shop, communicate, and experience the world differently. When leading brands like Deloitte, BMW, Google, Sam Edelman, and NASA seek these fresh ideas and inventive minds, they turn to SCADpro students — that could be you.

I do not see a SCADpro opportunity that directly relates to my major. Can I still participate?

Yes! SCADpro courses are not limited to a particular major or degree program. If there is a project that interests you, we encourage you to apply! In previous SCADpro courses, students have been able to offer specific insight into a brand or industry, or found that a project brief spoke directly to them on a personal level. Regardless of your reasoning, if you are ready to contribute and are eligible for the SCADpro course, we encourage you to apply.

Yes! Your previous SCADpro experience is highly valuable to future classes, and we encourage you to immerse yourself in a variety of different opportunities.

What kinds of roles are available on a SCADpro team?

It takes all kinds of students and diverse skill sets to make for a successful SCADpro project. Some students may primarily contribute "hard skills," or technical ones like drawing, illustration, 3D modeling, or fabrication. Other students develop their "soft skills," taking on roles like design lead, project manager, or relationship manager, which require strong communication and project leadership skills. All of these roles are critical to the SCADpro team, so students are encouraged to think about what skills they want to develop before their SCADpro experience begins.
