CURATOR: Susan Spiritus
Susan Spiritus has been running her gallery (www.susanspiritusgallery.com)
for the past 44 years. She's one of the most sought after curators
participating in local art fairs including PhotoLA, the Los Angeles Art
show, Photo San Francisco, Los Angeles Festival of Books, and Classic
Photographs Los Angeles. She serves on the Board of Advisors for
International Photography Awards (IPA) and the Center for Fine Art
Photography (C4FAP). She has reviewed portfolios for Photolucida, Review
Santa Fe, PhotoNola, Palm Springs Photo Festival, CriticalMass and
MOPLA’s Fresh Look.
Her gallery handles works by such photographic luminaries as Ansel Adams, Ruth Bernhard, Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Eikoh Hosoe, André Kertész, Paul Caponigro and George Tice.
Also represented in the gallery’s collection are many of today’s most popular and award-winning contemporary artists including Camille Seaman, Hiroshi Watanabe, Cara Barer, Fran Forman, David Burdeny, Roman Loranc and in addition several emerging artists, Tami Bone, Ellen Jantzen, Deborah Parkin, Tim Hyde, Jane Szabo, Ellen Cantor, Xan Padrón Niv Rozenberg, David Zimmerman, and Chris Kovacs from Vancouver, BC.
Susan says, "As we cautiously emerge from a year and a half of ‘almost’ hibernation, we do so with great care, some serious worries and many unknowns.

CALL FOR ENTRY:
ALL entrants work is exhibited in a group online exhibition. Each entrant is asked to submit 3 OR 6 images so they can have their own page with their images, bio, artist statement and contact info. In keeping with our mission of creating exposure opportunities and PR, we are proud to offer this feature. We hope this creates a vehicle that can take your work further and be seen by more people. No fewer than three images will be accepted to keep with the format of our website. Submitting less than three images will disqualify your entry.
The curator chooses one first place winner, one second place winner and three-five honorable mentions. The first place winner will receive a review by one or more curators including a Q&A about the photographer's work. In addition, their image will be on our home page for a month. Second place and honorable mentions will have their image shown along with their bio, artist statement, C.V. and a link back to their website.
