Documentary CPOY Call for Entry

CPOY invites you to share your images and stories in the 76th College Photographer of the Year competition. Entry is now open for all eligible students. Online entry is free, courtesy of our co-sponsor, Nikon Inc. The deadline for receipt of entries is Noon/12 PM CDT (Central Daylight Time) Monday, Sept. 20, 2021. Honors include an internship at National Geographic magazine, NPPF scholarships, and tuition or fellowship to several elite photography and documentary workshops. We again have an entry process with Picter.com. Please pay close attention to guidelines, rules and our Ethics Standards. Our biggest tip is to name your files and fill out your photo metadata before upload – it will save a lot of time! If you have not already done so, you will need to create a free account with Picter, which will also give you easy access to other high-level contests, such as Pictures of the Year International (POYi) and POY Asia. This year we introduce an exciting new multiple image category, “Team Picture Story,” including very specific entry rules. We will also continue our two special categories in recognition of these historic times: “COVID” in the single image category and “The COVID Experience” in the multiple image category. Call for Entry can be found on the CPOY Entry Page. To learn more about College Photographer of the Year, view winning images and judging screencasts, visit our brand new CPOY homepage. Judging will be held virtually, October 21 – November 1. We will again record the final rounds of judging for upload to our website. Additionally, stay tuned for details and about how you can watch! Please check CPOY’s Facebook, Instagram or Twitter pages (@CollegePhotog) for updates. CPOY’s mission is to recognize your outstanding vision, reporting and storytelling. It’s that time again – so comb through your images, get some editing help from fellow students and instructors, and send us your best work. We eagerly await your entries.
