EarthShare of Georgia sponsors first ever public photo contest to
encourage conservation efforts
ATLANTA— (February 4, 2013) EarthShare of Georgia announced today their first “Take only pictures, leave only footprints” See why we care for Georgia Photo Contest in conjunction with their 20th anniversary and commencement of Earth Day 2013.
The
contest challenges photographers across Georgia to capture the beauty
of the state’s landscapes through photos of wilderness, nature, land
preservation or conservation efforts that illustrate the “See why we
care for Georgia” message.
The entry deadline for the competition is Monday, April 1, 2013.
The EarthShare of Georgia staff, along with its Facebook and Pinterest
community, will select the top ten photos and announce the finalists on
Monday, April 15, 2013.
The top ten photo entries will be judged by the staff at Atlanta Event
Photography and the winner will be announced Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Earth Day Party at the King Plow Arts Center.
The prizes for the photo contest are as follows:
1st prize:
Custom framing for winning photograph provided by BlackRabbet Framing
Studio. BlackRabbet crafts all frames by hand in Atlanta- assuring the
highest quality possible. Estimated value: $500.
Photograph to be published in Creative Loafing on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
2nd prize:
Gift Certificate valued at $175 redeemable for either one course at The
Showcase School of Photography or currency at The Showcase Photo and
Video store.
