Juror Karen Haas, Lane Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will select work by eight contemporary photographers that will comprise the eighteenth iteration of the PRC's highly regarded annual juried exhibition. 
 
Submissions Open: Monday, February 11, 2013  
Submissions Due: Sunday, March 3, 2013, 11:59 pm EST
Exhibition Dates: June 4 - July 27, 2013


 
Awards 
  • The juror will select eight photographers for the gallery exhibition at the PRC this summer.
  • The juror also will select one of these artists for the Best of Show Award 
  • The PRC will select two winners of the Staff Picks Award. One will be featured in the PRC's journal, Loupe, and the other will be included in NEO, our monthly online showcase of work by regional members.   
Prizes 
The PRC is pleased to announce the following prizes for artists  tamrac submitting to Exposure. All artists will be entered into a drawing 
and three winners will be selected at random. 
  • 1 Winner of a Tamrac Zuma 9 Secure Traveler Photo/iPad
    Backpack hahnemuhle(valued at $100)
  • 2 Winners of his/her choice of any Hahnemuhle 13 x 19 inch photo paper (valued at $100 per box)

 
Exposure 2013 Juror
For the last decade Karen Haas has served as the Lane Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where she is responsible for a large collection of photographs by American modernists such as Charles Sheeler, Edward Weston, Ansel Adams, and Imogen Cunningham. The Lane Collection, which has recently been given to the Museum, numbers more than 6,000 prints and ranges across the entire history of western photography from William Henry Fox Talbot to the Starn twins. Before coming to the MFA, Haas held various curatorial positions in Boston-area museums and private collections, including the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Boston University Art Gallery, and the Addison Gallery of American Art in Andover. She holds a BA in Art History from Connecticut College; received her MA in the History of Photography at Boston University; and taught the history of photography at both Boston University and Boston College.
