This course explores the unique aesthetic and technical challenges of photographing the human-altered landscape. This will be a project driven course focusing on contemporary photographic interpretations of the built environment. Lecture topics, demonstrations and readings will explore the practices of landscape, architectural and documentary photography. Collaborative projects will be encouraged. Students may work with any lens-based medium and/or camera format they wish.
Prerequisite(s): PHOT 113. This course may be substituted for Photo 319.
