Women can learn self-defense at R.A.D. Systems training
Rape Aggression Defense
Systems is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques
for women. This is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with
awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance, while
progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
R.A.D. is not a martial arts program. Courses are taught by nationally certified R.A.D. instructors and provide each student with a workbook reference manual. Classes are available on the following Fridays in January and February. R.A.D. I – Jan. 10, 10 a.m. to noon, SCAD Museum of Art, Room 226 R.A.D. II – Jan. 17, 9 a.m. to noon, Club SCAD aerobics room R.A.D. III – Jan. 31, 9 a.m. to noon, Club SCAD aerobics room R.A.D. IV – Feb. 14, 9 a.m. to noon, Club SCAD aerobics room R.A.D. training sessions are successive. You must attend session I before you attend session II. |
