Deadline approaching
Dear Friends, Colleagues and Photographers:
We have had a tremendous response to our call for entries for the “INFOCUS Juried Exhibition of Self-Published Photobooks.”
We’ve received books from New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Australia, Russia, Germany and all over the United States. I’m excited to join our esteemed panel of jurors (listed below) in reviewing the books and selecting a group for exhibition at the Phoenix Art Museum, on view from August 23-September 28, 2014. Modeled on Barbara Tannenbaum’s DIY: Photographers and Books at the Cleveland Art Museum, our exhibition will present the books on tables in the gallery space so that visitors can handle and explore the books.
The deadline for submissions is approaching. Books are due at Phoenix Art Museum by the end of the business day Thursday, July 31, 2014.
Sending a book is an easy three-step process:
1. Fill out the online form.
2. Print the email confirmation of the form and put it with your book.
3. Mail the book to Phoenix Art Museum – please be sure it will arrive in time!
Thank you to those who have already sent books, shared the call for entries on social media, or who have told photographers about his opportunity. There’s still time to spread the word – the call for entries includes all the details and the link to the online form.
