Job Description for Creative Agency Assistant
Poppy Creative is an artist agency based in Hudson Valley, NY. Representing photographers and
stylists specializing in the home interiors, food, and lifestyle spaces. The founder, Traci Terrick has
been in business for 14 years and has a background that includes both art direction and production
working for home retailers in the San Francisco area for over 20 years. Her reputation is vast and she
is a leading voice in the photography industry thanks to her amazing agency as well as her
organization of Focus on Women – a community she has created to give women a seat at the table.
Not only does she run these two companies on her own, but she also does a marketing arm to things
offering creatives a six-month commitment to help them take their work to the next level. She is
looking for an organized, easy-going, reliable creative assistant who can help her manage the workflow.
Someone who is interested in learning how the commercial side of photography works, someone
looking to learn the day-to-day life of an agent, entrepreneur, and industry leader.
Tasks will include:
Agent’s inbox management
Cold Call emails to new clients
LinkedIn Management – researching new people/companies to follow
Template building – contract, terms, estimates
Calendar Management for Artists and Agents
Help with the design (occasionally) of promos, posts, etc.
