PHOTOGRAPHY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR THE NATIONAL’s August/September issue:
-looking for both horizontal and vertical photos
-mostly color photography
-photos for an all-ages audience
-photos that show off the natural beauty of
locations that are in or near Amtrak destinations / along Amtrak routes.
We are more interested in wild nature, rather than urban environments,
but will still consider photos of urban environments.
Also interested in portraits and details of train. The photos should
inspire people to travel to the locations shown. These photo essays are
meant to be uplifting, inspiring and offer a fantasy of travel.
-some photos on-train or from the train windows
-all photos need to have accompanying caption information (who, what, when, where)
-all photos need to be available in high resolution but for the submission should be sent via email in low res.
-emailed submissions should include the
photographer’s name, age, which school they attend, the caption
information, in addition to the low res photos. I might have follow up
questions, so please indicate the best means of getting
in contact (phone call, text, email) and provide phone # if that is
better than email.
-in subject line of submission email, please include: THE NATIONAL/STUDENT PHOTO SUBMISSION FOR PORTFOLIO
-all submissions should be sent to me, Jessie Adler, at this email address: jessie.adler@ink-global.com by no
later than June 14, 2019
