The National Park Service (NPS) was created over 100 years ago to
preserve and protect America’s most significant natural and cultural
resources. With over 40 programs, from National Historic Landmarks to
National Trails, the National Park Service’s work extends beyond park
boundaries. This year the National Historic Landmarks Program plans to
highlight some of the special places in and around Savannah, GA, that
are associated with NPS programs. We are sponsoring a photo contest to
collect images of these places. The winning entries will be featured in
our upcoming Discover Savannah Brochure.
We are searching
for a photo that captures the essence of Savannah (not limited to the
sites included in the contest) as well as images of each of the 13 sites
included in the contest. For full contest rules, including the list of
included sites, visit go.nps.gov/SavannahPhotos.
We look forward to seeing Savannah through your eyes! If you have questions, please contact us at Savannah_Photos@nps.gov
