Our Student Photography Contest, which opens April 4th, 2016 (but students can register on our website as early as today) and concludes on June 30, 2016, is intended to engage student photographers and photojournalists in a worldwide community-building project in which they capture acts of kindness and compassion. These images will serve as reminders of all the good that occurs around the world on a daily basis, as well as inspirational devices that promote subsequent acts of kindness from both participants and the public. To that end, the images will be used in our other efforts to promote and inspire kindness, including:
- Dispersion through our web and social media platforms
- In printed/published materials
- Empirical social science research to better understand how exposure to kindness impacts people physiologically, behaviorally and affectively.
