The deadline for regional conference proposal submissions has been extended through Thursday, August 6th.
The SPE regional conference is seeking presentation proposals for the November 6 – 8, 2015 conference in Greenville, SC. The southeast region welcomes proposals from photographers, writers, educators, curators, historians and professionals from any field.
SPESE 2015 Collaboration: Plays Well With Others will be hosted by The Fine Arts Center of Greenville SC. The conference will highlight artists whose work is developed in the spirit of collaboration. Hybrid media and practices, and creative intersections will be explored through lectures, panels, and workshops featuring regional and national artists, academics, and collectors.
It is preferred that presentation proposals should speak to the theme of collaboration. Proposed presentations can be for image-making, lectures, short workshops, and demonstrations. We also welcome regional graduate program presentations and student presentations. Presentations are limited to a maximum of 1 hour and workshops to 2 hours. Please remember that the conference will be in downtown Greenville and workshops and demos will not have the advantages of being held in studio classrooms.
Please email your proposal to spese15@gmail.com by August 6th, 2015. Each proposal must include:
· name of presenter or lead presenter for a group
· presenter or lead presenter contact information including email address and phone number
· A biography of each presenter (150 words maximum)
· A brief description of the proposed lecture or workshop or demonstration or presentation. (250 words maximum)
· 10 images if applicable for proposal (jpeg 1000px longest dimension).
