Photographer Assistant

Job Description

Local photographer (specializing in portraits, weddings and some commercial work) seeks part time assistant. The assistant will aid in daily studio work flow including but not limited to: Digital Workflow, Client Correspondence, Social Media, Studio Upkeep, Image Preparation, Assisting on shoots, Second Shooting/Shadowing, Web Site Maintenance. Candidates must be versatile and have a minimum of 2 years Photoshop experience. Due to our some of our clientele, candidates must be GLBT friendly. Bonuses include: Graphic Design Experience, Microsoft Word, Customer Service Experience, PCs (we don’t use Macs). Our studio is located in downtown Savannah, GA and home office is in midtown.

Film and Photography Intern

Description:
Join us this summer and be a leader in the Blue Movement.

Fancy yourself the next Steven Spielberg? The UBB Film and Photo Intern will be responsible for the creation of digital media that furthers the UBB brand.

The intern will film and edit videos of UBB cleanups, document day-to-day activities at UBB's office in a fun and creative way, and take pictures that document UBB and the company mission. Watch some of the videos on our YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/unitedbyblue before you

Responsibilities:

Film and photograph UBB Cleanups and daily life at the UBB office
Edit cleanup footage to produce short videos of UBB cleanups
Compose weekly short educational videos to help build the UBB brand
Take high quality photos of UBB products for use in catalog and online
Film and edit videos that promote UBB's partner organizations
Help develop a strategy for disseminating
UBB videos to a broader audience
Provide on-site photo and film support for all other UBB events
Organize and archive all film and video in easily accessible manner

Requirements:

Current college student or recent college graduate with an entrepreneurial mindset
Enthusiastic Self-Starter who is able to work under minimal supervision
Excellent visual, oral and written communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possessing outstanding follow through skills
Ability to incorporate constructive feedback into projects and to provide feedback
Able to manipulate and optimize images for web and print format
Solid time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once and bring them to completion
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop CS4/5, iMovie ('10 or '11), and iPhoto ('10 or '11)
Experience with Final Cut (express or pro) and Youtube is helpful, but not required
Experience filming (novice/amateur level is okay)
Bachelors Degree or Pursuing a Bachelors Degree

Details:

For semester internships, the minimum commitment is 20 hours per week with shifts no shorter than 4 hours, and availability to
commit at least two full days is preferred.
For summer internships, the minimum commitment is 30 hours per week, and availability to commit 3 full days is preferred
and attendance at 4 Saturday cleanups
Intern travel expenses to and from the office and cleanups will be reimbursed.
