Desotorow Presents, "Contracts and Intellectual Property"

SAVANNAH, Ga. –Desotorow Gallery, 2427 De Soto Avenue, will host the first seminar of its 2010 Professional Development Lecture Series on February 16^th at 7:00 p.m. Local business professionals are teaming up with Desotorow and volunteering their time to offer business training for emerging and professional artists. The first seminar of the series, Contracts and Intellectual Property, will be led by Shawn Kachmar and Matt Henerson of Savannah law firm Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn.

Shawn Kachmar is a Partner with the Savannah law firm Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn. He specializes in employment law, intellectual property, and business issues. After graduating from Penn State, he obtained his law degree from Emory. Shawn has volunteered in the past for Georgia Lawyers for the Arts and is active on a number of boards throughout the Savannah community and the state.

Matt Henerson is also an attorney with Hunter Maclean. His practice focuses on intellectual property, information technology, contracts, and business-related torts. Matt received a B.S. from Auburn University, worked for a few years as a civil engineer, then earned his law degree from the University of Alabama. He is active in the Savannah community and speaks regularly on intellectual property topics, most recently to a fashion design class at SCAD.
