Do you enjoy participating in the community? Do you have something interesting to say about Savannah’s many cultural scenes? The South magazine is offering freelance blogging opportunities in the following subjects:
Music: Covering music events, local music news, musician interviews, music community commentary and show and venue reviews.
Art: Covering art events such as gallery openings, exhibitions and reviews, local artist profiles, etc.
Stage and Screen: Covering all stage and screen events including plays, movies, musicals and stand up reviews.
Photographing any event or gathering images for the blog will be encouraged.
A freelance blogger with The South, is responsible for 1 posting per week, will receive exclusive invites to subject-relevant events and is asked to represent the magazine at local happenings. Successful candidates for these positions should have strong writing skills and moderately flexible schedules. Candidates should be responsible, gregarious, professional, dependable and enthusiastic about the Savannah community.
