John McKinnon will be accepting student, faculty, or alumni artwork for consideration for the cover of Artemis, SCAD's student literary journal. The artwork does not need to refer to anything involving the specific writing of the publication and can be anything you feel is engaging for the cover of a literary anthology. This is a very informal request and the selected artist will not be financially compensated but will get credit and some copies. A vertical format is preferable because of the orientation of the cover but horizontals will be accepted also. Here are the specifics for the submissions:
1. Files must be 10 inches on the long side at 300dpi at the native resolution. PLEASE Do not send files that have been sized up to meet the specifications. Save files as 12 quality jpegs.
2. File names must be the name of the artist. Example: Janedoe01.jpeg, JaneDoe02.jpeg.
3. Files must have the following information embedded:
Artist name, status (student, alumni, faculty), email address, phone number, title of work, medium.
This information can be put in the file using the "file info" window in Photoshop.
4. Files should be emailed to John Mckinnon at jmckinno@scad.edu buy Thursday, February 5th.
