MFA Candidate, Valentina Sireech to Participate in Group Show, Panel Discussion at International Indiginous Photography Conference

Internship Interviews with Editorial/Advertising Photographer Colleen Duffley


Colleen Duffley will be talking about her work as an editorial/advertising photographer on Wednesday, April 8th at 11 am at the Pei Ling Chan Gallery on MLK. She would like to interview prospective interns.

Fashion photographer George Kartis discusses chiaroscuro and how the lighting technique inspires photographers, painters, sequential artists and sculptors. Since 1980, Kartis has been a professional freelance print and fashion photographer and artistic director whose stories and portraits have been published around the world and have appeared in international fashion magazines. Savannah Hosts Needed for Silver & Ink Portfolio Reviews

From April 23-26, SCAD Savannah will be hosting the first annual Silver & Ink portfolio reviews to coincide with the student exhibition of the same name. Student hosts in Savannah are needed to open their doors (and guest rooms, inflatable mattresses, and/or couches) to SCAD ATL students who would like to come down for the event. If you are a willing Savannah student or faculty member please email Dept. Chair, Jenny Kuhla, with your name, telephone number, address, and number of guests you can accommodate.     Sous Les Etoiles Summer Internship, NYC

    High-end Retouching Studio is looking for a full time intern to assist its Project Manager.

    We are not looking for individuals who wish to be retouchers, though knowledge of the process is helpful in this position.

    We are seeking those who have an interest in Photography and Digital imaging, but are primarily looking to learn about the NY Photographic/Retouching industry while enhancing their business communication skills in a relaxed and creative professional working environment.

    Responsibilities include general assistance with daily tasks such as answering phones, managing messenger pickups and deliveries, running errands as needed and helping out on exhibition opening days.

    More intricate tasks such as maintaining the Studio's general calendar, maintaining/fueling the Studio's various industry databases, to call out to target audiences as well as following up on client requests will also be part of your mission.

    Call for Artwork to Benefit the American Diabetes Assn.



    This call for artwork is for an event called "Savannah 5x5." For this event, artists can submit work in any medium... as long as it is 5x5 inches in size! Savannah 5x5 is a great opportunity for budding and experienced professional artists to get some exposure. The artwork will be on display at Belford's in City Market from May 3- May 15, with a final reception event on May 15. The artwork will be for sale for the duration of the event, and sold work will remain on display through May 15. The deadline for registration is April 21, and the deadline for turning in artwork is April 28. ALL of the work will sell for $55, and the proceeds will go to the American Diabetes Association.
