Specializing
in beauty and fashion photography, Lindsay is an award winning
photographer / director and world renowned photographic educator.
Based in New York she has traveled the world shooting for iconic beauty
brands and high end editorial publications. Lindsay is known for her
signature clean, bold, and graphic style. Driven by her passion to be a
visual problem solver and her love for creative collaboration, she
utilizes her best-in-class crew and production resources to push
boundaries and lift her commissioned and personal work. In 2020,
Lindsay became the first woman to win the Rangefinder Icon of the
Year Award.

Charlie McCullers and Cecilia Montalvo are a collaborative team working in the wet plate collodion process. They began developing their work and this process together in 2017. This collaboration is about the condition of permanent change, as evinced by the dynamic nature of South Florida’s barrier islands, Ebenezer Creek, Georgia, and the other places where they work. It’s built on shared thematic and process interests. In their own ways, Charlie and Cecilia each work on the meaning of divided origins, and how mythologies of belonging operate. They are based in Atlanta, Georgia, and both hold MFA degrees in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Charlie is a native Georgian and life-long working photographer. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a BFA, and the Savannah College of Art and Design with an MA, prior to completing his MFA. Cecilia was born and raised in Miami. After graduating from the University of Virginia, she worked at The Phillips Collection, Smithsonian Magazine, and for Harvard University at Dumbarton Oaks, in Washington, DC.

About the artist
Born Paul Albert Bohrmann, Horst P. Horst (b. 1906, Weissenfels,
Germany; d. 1999, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) originally studied furniture
making and carpentry at the Hamburg School of the Applied Arts. After
learning about the Bauhaus movement, Horst sought an apprenticeship with
the renowned architect Le Corbusier and moved to Paris. There, he met
photographer George Hoyningen-Huene and soon became his muse, lover,
assistant, and eventual colleague as a fellow photographer at Vogue.
When Hoyningen-Huene left Vogue in 1935, Horst took over the role of
photographer-in-chief. In 1939, anticipating World War II and the Nazi
occupation, Horst left Paris for New York, where he officially changed
his name, as the surname Bohrmann was shared by a top Nazi official and
Horst, as a German citizen and a gay man, wanted to erase any perceived
connection to Hitler’s oppressive regime. In New York, Horst continued
to work at Vogue steadily through the early 1950s and again in the 1960s
during editor Diana Vreeland’s tenure. In the 1970s he continued to
work for Condé Nast at publications such as House & Garden. In 1989,
Horst received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of
Fashion Designers of America, and, in 1996, he received the Master of
Photography Award from the International Center for Photography. Horst
produced photographs until 1992 when his poor eyesight forced him to
retire. His work has been the subject of numerous museum exhibitions,
including retrospectives at the National Portrait Gallery and the
V&A in London and the International Center of Photography in New
York.
Essence of the Times is curated by Rafael Gomes, director of fashion exhibitions at SCAD FASH, in collaboration with Gert Elfering of the Horst P. Horst Estate and Juan Carlos Arcila-Duque from The Art Design Project Gallery.
The exhibition is presented on the occasion of Atlanta Celebrates Photography.

Local photographer Whitney Collins @whitneycollinsphotography will be hosting her show titled “For the Love of Dance” at Cedar House Gallery on the whole ground floor!

For the Love of Dance is a photography exhibit featuring 65 dancers, ages 6-24, from all over the country. This project began as a simple desire to celebrate dance, as well as printed art. In a digital era, we forget how amazing printed art can be. There is something magical about seeing a large print of yourself, of becoming a work of art, about seeing these portraits as they were intended to be seen.
We invite you to participate in the first edition of the color awards. we are looking for the best color picture for this year, 2022.The competition is open to any interpretation of color photography in all its dimensions, from everyday reality to pure abstraction
All the different photographic genres have their place in the Color Awards, photojournalism, portrait, nude, architecture, landscape, wildlife, abstraction, experimental, street photography, still life, artistic photography, or alternative processes. We look forward to seeing images with unique points of view and innovative approaches, as well as images that go within the more traditional ways of Color photography.
Praxis Gallery seeks the submission of photographic works that demonstrate the fundamental qualities that make black and white & monochromatic photography an enduring, contemporary art form. All genres, capture types, black & white and color, traditional and non-traditional photographic and digital post-production processes are welcome for submission.
