The Silver Eye Center for Photography is pleased to announce Fellowship 2010, our international photography competition. Our distinguished juror is Deborah Klochko, Executive Director of the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego, California.
As we enter our 11th Fellowship year, the competition is now open to all international photographers, not just Silver Eye members, and we are now awarding two Fellowships.
• A $3,500 award and is open to all eligible photographers.
• A $1,500 is open only to Pennsylvania residents (who may apply in both catagories).
Both winning artists’ work will be exhibited at Silver Eye in shows opening in late November 2010.
Entries must be postmarked or delivered on or before Friday, August 27, 2010 at 6 p.m. EST and be complete upon submission.

Rumble Art Fair Call for Entries
Rumble Art does a lot within the Santa Barbara art community to expand the art scene of southern and central coast California. Our biggest project, however is an annual art fair that
coincides with the Santa Barbara Film Festival. The great thing about Rumble is it's a really young organization that works with small and big names alike - both locally and globally. We're currently looking for artists from anywhere in the world who are fresh and as excited about art as we are.
For our 2011 Rumble fair, we're looking for contemporary work that incorporates and combines the power and place of the relationship between people/technology and nature in this modern world. We want work that approaches the world in a different way – created by artists who are able to build more than purely visual experiences—art that bridges the gap between objective and non objective ideas. We want to express the importance of expanding our minds; to revert back to the dreams and ideas that inspire our creations before concerns of practicality interfere. We want work that is unique in its ability to convey basic or complex emotions and thoughts without overcomplicating the execution. In the 2011 fair, we strive for a collection of multi-faceted, multi-media work that reminds us all, as lovers and creaters of art, of the limitless world of possibilities we live in.

About the Juror: Deborah Klochko
Deborah Klochko became Executive Director of the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego in 2007. Prior to joining MoPA, Deborah served as a private consultant; as the Executive Editor of see, an award-winning journal of visual culture; and as founder of Speaking of Light: Oral Histories of American Photographers. Formerly the Director of The Friends of Photography in San Francisco, she has also worked at George Eastman House, International Museum of Photography and Film, in Rochester, New York and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Deborah holds an M.A.T. in Museum Education from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and an M.F.A. in Photographic Studies from the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York.

Anderson Ranch Arts Center is calling for submissions for The Big Light Show, a juried exhibition of works that focus on light as a medium or inspiration. From J.M. Turner to James Turrell, artists have given over their work to the inspiration and subject matter of light because of its beauty, ubiquity, essentiality and connection to the sublime. For this exhibition we are inviting artists of all media to submit work that takes light as its' subject, inspiration or media in all its forms: as landscape illuminator, daily delineator, life source and energy source.

Artists are invited to submit works in any medium.
If selected, artists will be responsible for shipping expenses to and from the gallery. For time-base work, Anderson Ranch will have 20" diagonal Apple computer monitors and head phones to display artwork. 2D and 3D artwork must be installation ready.

Atlanta Celebrates Photography Portfolio Review Applications
ACP 12 Portfolio Review - Register Now!
The ACP 12 Portfolio Review will be on Saturday, October 16th. Sponsored in part by Turner Broadcasting and their "Turner Voices" initiative, the ACP Portfolio Review brings together curators, gallerists, editors, photographers and artists for a full day of extremely productive engagement and networking.
Registrations for the Portfolio Review will be juried by ACP and Danielle Avram (Curatorial Assistant, Photography & Modern and Contemporary Art at the High Museum of Art) and applicants will need to submit 3-5 jpgs with a brief artist's statement for consideration. Registration will remain open until 11:59PM EST on July 19th, and successful registrants will be notified the week of July 26th. Once accepted, the registration fee is $250.
