Tom Fischer Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Tom Fischer was a beloved SCAD Professor Emeritus in the Photography Department. Without him the strength of our Photography Department would not be what it is today. It has been a year since his passing.

To celebrate and honor their father, Tom’s family has established the Tom Fischer Memorial Scholarship at SCAD. As it stands, this money will be distributed, in full, to students next fall. That’s where we need your help. If we can raise the minimum amount required to transform it into an endowed scholarship ($25,000) before the deadline, the fund will become the Tom Fischer Memorial Endowed Scholarship. Endowed scholarships are invested funds from which SCAD draws down a percentage each year to award as scholarship to students. If we can get to the goal, it means that through scholarship distributions to deserving photography students year after year, Tom’s legacy and impact will exist in perpetuity.
Please help us reach goal. Here’s how you can give:
Mail - Complete the attached giving form, and remit your payment using the enclosed business reply envelope. Please make checks payable to “SCAD”
Online - Visit scad.edu/give to give via credit card. Under the “Donation Information” section, select the “Scholarship” button, and choose “Tom Fischer Memorial Scholarship” from the drop-down menu
Phone - Call SCAD’s Giving department at 912.525.5856 to process your gift.

Please pass this along. The deadline is February 28.
