Jeff Rich, (MFA, Photography, 2008), Kickstarter Book Project

Please consider contributing to this exciting book! project. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1858320440/watershed-the-tennessee-river

Watershed: The Tennessee River examines the complicated environmental effects and consequences of large-scale modernization in the Tennessee River Watershed.

I am working with Fall Line Press in Atlanta to publish a photo book that focuses on the Tennessee River, and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The TVA has completely reshaped the rivers and ecosystem of the Tennessee Valley, as well as the lives of its residents for almost a century of evolution.

This work forms the second part of The Watershed Project, which is 15-year study that highlights the complex and often fraught relationship between land, water, and man within the Mississippi River Basin.

Publisher's Note

"Jeff has for many years been an attentive and tireless observer and photographer of nearly a century of man’s accumulating impacts on those environs. He reveals the scars and possibilities of man’s effects on nature and nature’s effects on man in a straightforward way. His clear vision firmly and surely instructs the viewer without judgment or even resolution – casting back to us the important questions that we are invited to engage. This is a book for the past, but even more for the future."
